40 Days for Life starts on Ash Wednesday; here’s how you can get involved

This Lent, you’re invited to join other Christians for 40 days of prayer and fasting for an end to abortion.

The spring 40 Days for Life campaign starts on Ash Wednesday, and as a potentially historic decision regarding the fate of Roe v. Wade looms at the Supreme Court, there has perhaps never been a better year in recent memory to consider participating in the campaign.

The pro-life community is encouraged to sign up for a vigil hour at 40daysforlife.com/Denver to peacefully pray in the public right-of-way outside Planned Parenthood at 7155 E. 38th Ave. in Denver, and also to help spread the word about this important community outreach.

Masses will be celebrated across the street from Planned Parenthood occasionally throughout the 40 days, which are open for all to attend.

“Through peaceful prayer and public witness, our intent is to offer help and hope,” the campaign website states. “We have resources for you to hand out to anyone who approaches you.”

Last but not least, the campaign will close out on April 9 with a Eucharistic Procession around Planned Parenthood, led by Archbishop Samuel J. Aquila. More information can be found on the flyer located here.
