Local faithful brought the cross, a symbol of Jesus’ death and resurrection, to the forefront of their hearts and minds. Archbishop Samuel Aquila celebrated a solemn service on Good Friday at the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception (top) and joined church-goers in honoring the cross with prayers and a kiss placed on Christ’s feet. The Communion and Liberation movement processed with friends and family through downtown Denver (bottom) with the cross to witness to his sacrifice and prayerfully await his coming on Easter.
