The seminarians and priests of St. John Vianney Theological Seminary held a celebration honoring the first feast day of John Paul II, canonized last April, on the grounds of the St. John Paul II Center for the New Evangelization in southeast Denver Oct. 22.
This is a special day of celebration for us as we feel our seminary has a special stewardship of a unique grace for the new evangelization stemming from St. John Paul II’s visit to Colorado for World Youth Day in 1993,” said Father Scott Traynor, rector.
The celebration, which included chancery employees as well, began with 11 a.m. Mass in Christ the King Chapel, following by a eucharistic procession around the grounds.
