Put charity into action at spring fundraisers

Denver’s Catholic schools and ministries are welcoming springtime in the Rocky Mountain region with fundraisers and events that support their ongoing mission to educate and spread the faith. Listed below is a list of some of the upcoming events hosted by Denver Catholic schools and local ministries.

Seeds of Hope Charitable Trust
Don’t miss this year’s featured student Kiara Johnson at the Hope Springs Eternal Luncheon 11 a.m. April 3.

The Annunciation School eighth-grader will receive the Journey of Hope Scholarship during Seeds of Hope Charitable Trust’s annual luncheon. Johnson will share her story about overcoming obstacles to achieve a Catholic education at the Denver school.

“We are thrilled about this year’s Hope Springs Eternal luncheon,” said Natalie Mesko, director of Seeds of Hope. “We have a terrific group of volunteers who have worked hard to design an irresistible array of silent auction items, and we have an outstanding program to highlight the very best of Seeds of Hope and the students and schools we support.”

This year’s luncheon will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton, 7801 E. Orchard Road, in Greenwood Village. The luncheon will be led by CBS4 News Anchor Jim Benemann and former NBA player and coach Bill Hanzlik.

Attendees will kick-off the night with mimosas and a silent auction followed by lunch and speakers. Speakers will include Sarah Grey, assistant principal at Annunciation School, and John and Terri Schuster, donors of Seeds of Hope.

Donations support the education of students unable to afford tuition at archdiocesan schools. The cost is $75. Visit www.seedsofhopedenver.org or call 303-715-3112 for details.
