Official Deacon Appointments: January 1, 2025

Here’s a list of the latest permanent deacon appointments for the Archdiocese of Denver, announced January 1, 2025.

 

Appointments

Deacon George Schmelter, has been granted Diaconal Faculties in the Archdiocese of Denver and appointed deacon at Our Lady of the Mountains Parish in Estes Park, effective November 1, 2024, ad nutum archiepiscopi.


Deacon Donald Tracy, relieved of duties at St. Rose of Lima Parish in Denver, and appointed Deacon at Christ on the Mountain Parish in Lakewood, effective January 1, 2025, ad nutum archiepiscopi.


Retirements

Deacon Norman Ridder, granted retirement status with faculties, effective September 30, 2024.


Deacon Charles Schultz, granted retirement status with faculties, effective October 26, 2024.


Deacon George Thierjung, granted retirement status with faculties, effective October 25, 2024.


Deacon Martin Wager, granted retirement status with faculties, effective December 21, 2024.
