A Funeral Mass was offered in St. Catherine Chapel at 10:30 am Wednesday, July 12, 2023. Prayers of Committal were held in the Congregation Cemetery.

Sister Jerome Mary “Jeri” Renner, baptized Agnes Theresa Renner, died on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at the Dominican Life Center in Adrian. She was 94 years of age and in the 76th year of her religious profession: 56 years in the Dominican Sisters of Edmonds, Washington, and in her 21st year in the Adrian Dominican Congregation, after the Edmonds and Adrian Congregations merged in 2003.
Sister Jeri was born in Dimock, South Dakota, to Joseph and Elizabeth Sophie (Triebal) Renner. She graduated from Holy Angels Academy in Seattle, Washington, and received a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Teresa College in Winona, Minnesota, a Master of Hospital Administration degree from St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri, and a Master of Applied Theology degree from Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California.
Sister Jeri ministered 14 years as a medical technologist in Tacoma and Chehalis, Washington. She served 11 years as an administrator at St. Joseph Hospitals in Stamford, Connecticut, and Aberdeen, Washington. Sister also ministered at Mercy Hospital from 1981-1982 as director of pastoral care/services in Denver, Colorado, and Seattle and Everett, Washington, and was a chaplain for one year at St. Vincent Hospital and Medical Center in Portland, Oregon. She later served eight years as mission effectiveness director at Providence Seaside Hospital in Seaside, Oregon. Sister became a resident of the Dominican Life Center in Adrian in 2018.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters, Elsie Renner, Marie Boldrin, Josephine Morken, and Helen Maier; and a brother, Leonard Renner. Sister Jeri is survived by loving family and her Adrian Dominican Sisters.
