The annual and always amazing Steubenville of the Rockies youth conference is just around the corner, happening July 2-4 in Denver. For the 24th year in a row, youth from all around the Rocky Mountain region will gather for an incredible weekend of encountering Christ that has changed the lives of countless youth. After not being able to gather in-person last year and with a brand new venue, this year’s conference is going to be one for the books! Here are five reasons why you simply cannot miss Steubenville of the Rockies.

1. A totally awesome new venue!

This year is the first year that Steubenville will be hosted at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center, a brand-new venue located just down the street from Denver International Airport. Steubenville had many wonderful and fruitful years at the Crowne Plaza, and the accommodations of the Gaylord will allow even more youth to have an encounter with Christ. It’s also worth mentioning that the safety of participants remains a priority. In response to the current pandemic regulations, the conference will abide by the CDC guidelines and encourage social distancing.

2. A totally stacked line up of speakers!

The lineup of speakers and presenters at Steubenville this year might be its best yet. Chris Stefanick of Real Life Catholic and The Search fame will serve as the conference’s host, while Father Leo Patalinghug, known for his mad cooking, karate and breakdancing skills, will celebrate Mass. In addition, Sister Mary Elizabeth Albers, SOLT, Katie Prejean McGrady and Oscar Rivera, Jr., all of whom are known for their upbeat and enthusiastic approach to evangelization, will be presenting throughout the weekend. Stacked, indeed!

3. This year’s theme: Restored

The theme of this year’s conference is Restored, based on Psalm 80:3: “Restore us, O God; let your face shine, that we may be saved.” After the last year, we all need some restoration, and the youth who come to Steubenville will get just that when they are reminded that God is first and foremost a good Father who loves us more than we can imagine.

4. Music and adoration

The music will once again be provided by Ben Walther, who has become something of a staple for Steubenville of the Rockies. Of course, as many past Steubenville attendees attest, one of the most powerful moments of the weekend is Saturday night adoration. Something indescribable happens each year, and experiencing the undeniable presence of the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament with thousands of others is worth the price of admission alone.

5. Jesus Christ

Steubenville of the Rockies exists for one reason, and one reason only: Jesus Christ. Everything that happens during the weekend is meant to bring every single soul who attends into a relationship with him. And even if just one young person leaves knowing who Jesus is and how much he loves them, then it will have all been worth it.
