Denver Catholic’s favorite stories of 2020

Well, as you’ve read on probably every other website, it’s been a year. There’s really no other way to say it. It’s hard to imagine how anybody could have predicted just what kind of a year 2020 would be. It was a year marked by its challenges: the pandemic, civil unrest, a contentious election and a general sense of hardship.

Even so, there was still an abundance of hope to be found. Catholics in the Archdiocese of Denver didn’t seem to be deterred by the difficulties of 2020; in fact, there were countless examples of parishes and other faithful recognizing the needs of the community and rising to the occasion.

While many headlines were mostly dominated by guidelines related to celebrating Mass amidst the pandemic, there were also plenty of positive and encouraging stories of people living out their faith in inspiring ways. Here are some of our favorites from the year.
