Boulder pregnancy outreach a blessing to many

On the morning of Oct. 26 the Gabriel House, an outreach for pregnant women and families, in Boulder was blessed by Father Marcus Mallick, pastor of Sacred Heart of Mary Church. The Boulder site, originally established in Nov. 2011 at a different location moved to its new site at the parish, 6739 S. Boulder Rd., last July. “Everything is going great; we have had an increase in volunteers and new families needing support,” according to Sue Curtin, coordinator for the Boulder House, pictured here, left, with Mimi Eckstein, executive director the Gabriel Project of Catholic Charities and Father Mallick, during the blessing. Since opening, the Boulder Gabriel House has served 217 mothers, who have visited a total of 1,441 times; and have received 20,850 diapers—among many other forms of material, emotional and spiritual support. To reach the Boulder location, call 303-449-0122; or call the main office in Denver at 303-377-1577.
