Lucille Doris Polifka

Lucille was born in Vesper, KS to Edward Flaherty and Mary Jensen Flaherty in May of 1920 and she graduated from High School in Beverly, KS in 1938. Lucille devoted her life to being a loving wife and mother, homemaker, and teacher. She enjoyed hosting Sunday family gatherings and holiday festivities and celebrating the achievements of her family and friends. Lucille was dedicated to her religion of Catholicism and the St Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Denver, substitute teaching at the St Rose of Lima Catholic Academy, as well as being involved in the Alter and Rosary Society, Rosettes and Annual Craft Fairs, which she served as director. Lucille enjoyed assisting her daughter Donna with her dance school and was loved and admired by the dance students and parents. Lucille’s insatiable love for life offered her 97 great years and a multitude of memories with her friends and family.
Lucille is survived by her three children Pat Polifka and wife Charline of Loveland, CO, Donna Reeves and husband Doug of Parker, CO and Terry Polifka and wife Janine of Bellevue, WA; three grandchildren Tonya Baran and husband Joe (great grandchildren Maddie and Joey) of Windsor, CO, Tom Polifka and wife Carrie (great grandchildren Lea and Elise Lucille) of Centennial, CO and Christia Reeves of Parker, CO. She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Albert Frank Polifka Jr, parents Edward and Mary Flaherty, and siblings James Flaherty, Helen Flaherty, Francis Flaherty, Paul Flaherty, and Robert Flaherty.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 10th, at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 355 S. Navajo St., Denver 80223.
