Watch installation of Pueblo’s new bishop

Bishop-designate Stephen Berg, 62, the former diocesan administrator of the Diocese of Fort Worth, will be installed as the fifth bishop of the Diocese of Pueblo at 2 p.m. Feb. 27 during an installation Mass at Memorial Hall in Pueblo.

He will succeed Bishop Fernando Isern who retired in June 2013.

Everyone is invited to the installation events listed below.

Solemn Vespers

Are set for 7 p.m. Feb. 26 at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Pueblo.

Reception to follow in the Cathedral Hall.

Installation

Is set for 2 p.m. Feb. 27 (procession begins at 1:45 p.m.) at Memorial Hall in Pueblo.

Reception to follow at Sangre de Cristo Arts Center

For those unable to attend, the installation Mass of Bishop-designate Berg will be Livestreamed beginning at 1:45 p.m. Mountain Time Feb. 27.  It can be accessed from the main page of the Diocese of Pueblo website at www.dioceseofpueblo.org or by following the direct link:  http://pointers.audiovideoweb.com/stcasx/3c3winlive3490/play.asx.

TV coverage

The installation will be televised live at 2 p.m. Feb. 27 on Channel 19 in Pueblo (Pueblo Community College’s channel).

General parking

General parking will be at the parking garage off Main Street behind the Memorial Hall (a minute walk), or at the Midtown Parking Lot.  Shuttle service to and from the Midtown lot will be available regularly from noon to 9 p.m. Feb. 27.
